Most children can start learning self-defence from around 5 years old. At this stage, we focus on:
- Fun, simple age-appropriate self-defence techniques
- Foundational coordination and balance
- Ensuring they comfortable, supported and safe
- Listening skills, focus, and confidence
As they grow, kids progress through our program into more advanced techniques and senior grades. We also have Kinder Krav for ages 3–5 for younger children that focus more on the fundamentals of development to help prepare them for the start of their Krav Maga journey from age 5.
Discover all our class types to see how your child could develop with Krav Maga.

Krav Maga stands out because it’s built around real-world self-defence, rather than competition . It's designed to be accessible, empowering and easy for kids to learn. Our classes cover things like:
- Practical skills they can use to stay safe in everyday situations
- How to recognise danger and create space to get help
- Simple, instinctive movements rather than complex patterns
- Confidence, resilience, and problem-solving under pressure

Your child can wear:
- Comfortable gym clothes (shorts/leggings and a t-shirt)
- We train with bare feet but your kids can keep their socks on if they prefer
- A full water bottle
No special gear or outfits are required; simply come with a positive attitude and a willingness to have fun.

We focus on kids’ Krav Maga, which covers striking, movement and practical self-defence. While it includes elements similar to boxing and jiu-jitsu, it is not a traditional boxing or BJJ program. Instead, our training emphasises real-life skills, confidence, awareness and safe decision-making.

Even better! We offer a two-week, obligation-free trial for $40. Your child gets two weeks of unlimited Krav Maga classes so they can experience the class, meet the instructors, and see if it’s the right fit.
